Instant bone broth is bone broth you make by adding hot water, with no simmering. It can come as single-serve sachets or as a concentrate. Choose sachets if you want a pre-measured serving. Choose a concentrate if you want to set the strength yourself. Ours is a concentrate: stir 1 to 2 teaspoons into a 250ml cup of hot water, depending on how you use it. A 350g jar is 35 servings of 10g, about 2 teaspoons each.

Is a concentrate the same as instant sachets?

Both work the same way at the mug: hot water and a stir. The difference is the format.

Sachets Concentrate (ours)
Measuring One pre-measured serving each You measure with a teaspoon
Strength Check the pack 1 teaspoon for lighter, 2 for richer

A concentrate is bone broth that has been reduced down, so a small spoonful makes a full cup. For a deeper look at formats, read bone broth concentrate vs powder.

How do I make instant bone broth with a concentrate?

  1. Boil the kettle.
  2. Spoon 1 teaspoon of concentrate into a mug (use 2 for a stronger cup).
  3. Pour in 250ml of hot water and stir.
  4. Taste, then adjust with more water or another half teaspoon.

FAQ

What is instant bone broth?

It is bone broth that has already been cooked, so you add hot water and stir. Ours is a concentrate, which means the broth has been reduced down: 1 teaspoon goes into a 250ml cup of hot water, and you can add a second teaspoon for a richer mug.

Is instant bone broth as good as homemade?

It saves hours of simmering, and the bones in ours are slow-cooked for 48 hours before being concentrated, which is hard to do at home. Homemade gives you control over the pot, while a concentrate gives you a ready mug.

How much concentrate do I use per cup?

Use 1 teaspoon for a lighter cup or 2 teaspoons for a richer one, stirred into 250ml of hot water. Taste it, then add more water or another half teaspoon to suit you. The same jar also works in rice, soups and stir-fries.

How many servings are in a jar?

A serving is 10g, which is about 2 teaspoons. A 350g jar is 35 servings, a 260g size is 25 and a 375g size is 37. Choose the size by how often you plan to have a mug, since unopened jars last 12 months.

How long does it keep once opened?

Once opened, keep it in the fridge with the lid on and use it within 4-6 weeks. Opened broth can also be frozen. Unopened jars last 12 months, but always check the best-before date printed on the jar before you use it.

Can I try it risk-free?

If you do not like it within 30 days, message us and we will refund your money. You do not need to send it back. Delivery takes up to 3-5 working days, so you can try a mug soon after your order arrives.
